The AW05-1208 automatic charger by TM "AUTO WELLE" is designed for all types of lead-acid starter batteries — WET, MF, AGM, and GEL — used in passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, motorcycles, and other types of machinery and vehicles.

A built-in microprocessor ensures a fully automatic charging process.

The charging cycle consists of 9 automatic stages.

Battery Test. Checks the correct battery connection, its condition (functional or damaged), and voltage level before starting the charging process.
Desulfation. If sulfation on the battery plates is detected, the device activates a pulse voltage mode. This helps remove sulfates from the lead plates, restoring battery capacity.
Soft Start. Initial charging phase. If the battery is deeply discharged, the charger begins with a gentle charge using reduced current and voltage until a normal voltage level is reached.
Bulk Charge. During this stage, the battery receives 75–80% of its total charge. The charger delivers maximum current.
Absorption. Charging continues with decreasing current at a constant voltage until the battery reaches 95–100% capacity.
Reconditioning. Prevents sulfation and electrolyte stratification in highly charged batteries and helps restore battery capacity.
Analysis. Tests the battery’s ability to hold a charge. Batteries that cannot retain charge should be replaced.
Full Charge. At low current, the voltage is increased to bring the battery to 100% of its capacity.
Maintenance. Maintains the battery at 100% charge by applying periodic low voltage. This mode is time-limited to 10 days.

The LCD display with backlight ensures comfortable use of the charger at any time of day. Next to the charger screen are the Power indicator, the Error indicator (red when an error occurs), and the Mode button for switching charging modes.

Slow charging mode

For gel and lead-acid batteries. Charging is performed with a reduced current of up to 2A and is controlled by a microprocessor.

Fast charging mode

For standard, gel, and lead-acid batteries. Charging is performed with a maximum current of 8A in fast mode and is controlled by a microprocessor.

AGM Battery Charging

Charging is performed with a maximum current of 8A and is controlled by a microprocessor. The microprocessor assesses the battery’s condition and adjusts the charging current and voltage accordingly. This ensures the most efficient charging and helps to extend the battery’s lifespan.

Recovery Mode (Desulfation)

The device features a unique desulfation mode that restores battery capacity and extends its service life. This special recovery mode is designed for deeply discharged batteries and batteries that have been used for a long time without recharging or have undergone deep discharge.

Battery Simulation Mode

This mode provides a constant voltage of 13.8V and a current of up to 5A, designed to power the car’s computer system during battery replacement. It allows you to replace a faulty battery without losing the vehicle’s settings.

Memory Function

The device has a standby mode that activates in case of power interruptions or accidental unplugging from the power source. The charger stores the charging mode and status in its memory. After power is restored, the charging process resumes from where it was paused.

Maximum Safety During the Charging Process
